Mike
Dorough, Vice President, Hotel Operations
Mike is responsible for the day-to-day
operations of a designated portfolio of hotels though out
of the country. Mike has over 25 years of progressively responsible
experience in hotel operations and multi-faceted resort management.
His initial assignment with Crescent was as General Manager
of the Holiday Inn, West Chester, Pennsylvania where he distinguished
himself, and was rapidly promoted into multi-property operational
responsibility. Before joining Crescent, Mike served as Corporate
Director of Operations and Sales for McIntosh Inns, Inc. where
he was responsible for sales and electronic marketing as well
as hotel operations. He took the lead in implementing and
maintaining brand standards, establishing a central reservation
system, and achieving financial and service goals. Prior to
that, he operated the 353 room Willow Valley Resort in Lancaster,
Pa. for numerous years and achieved several distinctions in
operational performance and superior recognition with his
award winning restaurant. Mike also managed the upscale golf
resort, White Bluff Resort in Whitney Texas.
Mike´s strengths cover the spectrum of professional
hotel management. He is acutely aware of the balance between
superior guest service, employee satisfaction, aggressive
sales and marketing systems, and disciplined operational and
financial practices. He is an effective leader and motivator.
Mike served on the board of the Pennsylvania Tourism & Lodging
Association, and as President of the Greater Lancaster Hotel/Motel
Association. Mike earned a Bachelors and Masters degree from
Baylor University, as well as, his CHA from the American Hotel & Lodging
Association.
