MAL Faust, Regional VP of Sales

MAL is a specialist in turning around hotel sales and marketing programs and she excels in highly competitive environments where leadership and organizational skills are key to success. She has an extensive record in establishing and energizing hotel sales teams, increasing market share and improving marketing and sales operational effectiveness. She possesses an understanding of independently owned properties and has brand experience with Hilton, International Hotels Group, Starwood, Hyatt, and Marriott.

Ms. Faust joined the Crescent Team in 2006 as a Regional Director of Sales. Her performance in increasing portfolio hotel sales revenues and marketing effectiveness led to her promotion as Corporate Director of Sales. She then directed sales programs during the transition of newly acquired Crescent properties leading sales teams through organizing, training, and motivating them to their fullest potential. MAL has been a critical member of our Sales & Marketing Advisory Committee (SMAC) and instrumental in developing many of the corporate initiatives and resources at Crescent today. In addition to her responsibilities as Regional Vice President of Sales she has taken on the task of developing a global sales initiative for Crescent Hotels and Resorts.

Prior to joining Crescent Hotels and Resorts, MAL was a Regional Sales Manager who planned and executed the initial marketing and sales effort for a new Hilton Hotel and Conference Center targeting the metro New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia markets. Before that she worked for Interstate Hotels and Resorts/Crossroads Hospitality. She has been active in Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International, Meeting Professionals International New Jersey Chapter and associate member Greater New York Chapter. She has been sited with awards and professional recognition from Crescent Hotels and Resorts, Interstate Hotels and Resorts, Crossroads Hospitality, Hilton Hotels, and was named Ambassador of the Year by the Scranton Chamber of Commerce.

MAL’s diverse background also included having held the position of Managing Director, Ballet Theatre Pennsylvania responsible for sponsorships, marketing, fundraising, networking and coordinating national touring programs. She also worked at a regional airport where her responsibilities as a multi-media publicist included developing airport – airline marketing initiatives, advertizing, and web design. She executed marketing initiatives for one of the largest airshows in the Eastern US where her duties included direct media and public relations liaison with the USAF “Thunderbirds”, USN “Blue Angels”, and Canadian Forces “Snowbirds” aerial demonstration teams.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration graduating Magna Cum Laude from Misericordia University, Dallas, PA.
