Janice Russell, Regional Vice President, Sales
Janice has over 20 years of hospitality industry experience and has direct responsibility for the sales and marketing efforts for both full-service and select-service hotels in her portfolio of hotels. In addition, she will support the hotels in sales strategic planning, revenue management, brand maximization, recruiting, and ongoing property sales training and support.
Prior to joining Crescent, Janice served as District Director of Sales for Pineapple Management Services. In this capacity she was responsible for directing and managing the sales, marketing and revenue management efforts for 10 hotels in the Southeast, creating a regional sales office in Atlanta and soliciting contracted accounts company-wide. She served in 2 senior sales positions with Interstate Hotels & Resorts where she led the Sales Team of the Year in their Crossroads Division. Janice previously spent 13 years with Oak Hospitality in the positions of Director of Sales and Vice-President of Sales and was awarded multiple awards, including Director of Sales of the Year.
Janice brings extensive sales, marketing, and revenue management experience to our executive team and has operational expertise within Marriott, Hilton, and Intercontinental branded hotels, as well as non-branded hotels. Her strengths include effective communications, strong leadership, and an ability to deliver positive revenue and market share results. She is skilled in researching market trends and assessing the strengths and weaknesses within competitive market sets.
Janice is an Atlanta native and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech Communications from the University of Georgia. Janice has been involved in numerous associations, including PCMA and IAEM, and is Past President of the Georgia Chapter of HSMAI.
