Crescent appoints EVP of business administration

FAIRFAX, Va. - Officials of Crescent Hospitality, a rapidly growing hotel management company, announced that they have named human resource veteran Woody Montgomery as executive vice president of business administration. In his new position, he will oversee human resources, corporate administration and risk management and provide assistance in the area of owner relations management.

"Having worked with Woody in the past, I have seen firsthand the range of his skills within the hospitality industry," said Michael George, president and c.e.o. "With more than 30 years of experience, we expect Woody to play an important role in our aggressive growth plans to double our portfolio over the next 12 to 18 months."

Prior to joining Crescent, Montgomery was executive vice president of human resources for Interstate Hotels & Resorts and its predecessor companies, CapStar and MeriStar Hotels & Resorts. Previously, he held similar positions at Deloitte & Touche and Eastern Airlines. He also is a former treasurer of the Council of Personnel Officers (COPO). Montgomery received his bachelor's degree from Davidson College in North Carolina.

Headquartered in Fairfax, Va., just outside of Washington, D.C., Crescent Hospitality was founded in 2001. The company currently operates approximately 30 upscale and mid-market hotels and resorts with approximately 4,400 rooms in 17 states. The company's management portfolio encompasses properties in the full-service, convention and premium limited-service segments under nearly 15 hotel flags, including the leading brands of Marriott, Hilton, InterContinental, Choice and Cendant, as well as independent hotels.
