Lovell Casiero Named Crescent Hospitality's
Vice President of Sales and Marketing
FAIRFAX, Va. - Oct. 25, 2005 -- Officials of Crescent Hospitality, a rapidly growing hotel
management company, today announced that Lovell Casiero has been named vice president of sales
and marketing. In her new position, she will be responsible for direct sales strategy, revenue
management, brand maximization, recruiting, interviewing and ongoing training of sales staff,
supporting property-specific sales efforts and marketing.
"Lovell has a 20-plus year record of success in hospitality sales and marketing," said Michael
George, president and CEO. "She regularly exceeded owner expectations in room revenue, food and
beverage revenue by building strong, proactive sales teams and developing effective sales and
marketing campaigns. In addition to hospitality sales and marketing, she has served as president
and chief operating officer of an international non-profit organization, where she oversaw
national and international media campaigns, event planning and fund raising. With her varied and
successful background, we expect Lovell to play a key role in the execution of our aggressive growth strategy."
Prior to joining Crescent, Casiero held senior sales leadership positions with some of the industry's
largest hotel management companies, including Merritt Hospitality, where she was "Director of Sales
of the Year; Interstate Hotels and Resorts;" and MeriStar Hotels & Resorts. Her experience includes
development of direct sales and catering sales strategies, sales training, task force, troubleshooting
and property transitions.
"Success in revenue is achieved by developing strong customer relations and providing excellent
customer service," Casiero noted. "The combination of these items will achieve a loyal client base
resulting in repeat business and referrals. The hospitality industry has become very IT dependent.
In order to be the market leader, it is imperative we remain in personal contact with our clients to
truly understand their expectations."
Headquartered in Fairfax, Va., just outside of Washington, D.C., Crescent Hospitality was founded in 2001.
